$50m modular refinery to take off in Delta – HOSTCOM

Comrade Benjamin Iwetan, Delta State chairman of Host Communities of Nigeria (HOSTCOM), has disclosed that an American firm has proposed to build a $50 million modular refinery at Koko, headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area of  Delta State, Daily Independent reports.

While noting that the American investors are planning to build the refinery on 600 acres of land already given out in Koko, Iwetan stated that the Olu of Warri does not want actions that will discourage investors in Iwereland, saying the project would engage thousands of Itsekiris and several others.

In his brief remarks the royal father tasked Itsekiri youths to create the enabling environment for the refinery project as well as other projects in Itsekiriland, just as he warned against disruption of development projects in his domain.
